I don't know how feasable it is, but something similar could be done with Tiberian Sun and RA2 by swapping out the textures make the shroud transparent, and there was atleast one table that managed to partially change the shroud color to transparent for Tib Sun, though it was far from perfect, it didn't work uniformly.Vetra_gamer vetra_gamer Sorry, data for given user is currently unavailable. The faded edges are textures the game loads while the solid black squares of the shroud aren't, or atleast that's what they were in the originals. If I recall correctly the way the shroud worked is that there was one #xxxxxx color the game would render as solid black and one or several #xxxxxx colors the game would render as varying levels of transluscent black, creating the fading on the edge of the shroud. A different implementation could be changing the color of the shroud to semi or completely transparent. Reveal map: A basic 'make whole map explored' is useful, but unfortunately it tends to break triggers in the campaign maps so it's really just ideal in skirmish. Should be a x time multiplier instead, multiple production building of the same type (barracks, war factory, con yard, etc.) already do something similar iirc, so there might be an easy way to manipulate it. I'll elaborate a bit on those two too.įast build: Not instantenous, because units can't be spawned that fast, especially if the building that spawns them has an animation which has to cycle fully. There are 2 other features you could potentially add.
Please read the Table Extras or the information above. Many thanks to TP for providing the game. So you can always come back in case you don't like the result. When you can, save the game before starting using table/cheat. So, in order to CE find it again, you have to activate the main script again. It loads the DLL at the beginning of the mission/skirmish.
(*)The reason for the loop is that the game uses "RedAlert.dll" that is unloaded when a mission/skirmish ends.
